"The Giver of Life was sentenced to die. To die like a criminal: on a cross. A slow, painful death.
But, at Gethsemane, Jesus had made up his mind. In spite of the fact that his sentence was the greatest miscarriage of justice of all times, he accepted it with equanimity*.
How do I behave when 'I think' that 'my due' is not given to me? Am I not too fond of imagining acts of injustice against me?
And when this happens, what do I feel inside my mind, my heart, my will?
Lord, grant me the grace of facing things squarely. Let me tremble only at the sight of spiritual death."
